Tree Stories LLC:

Creatively Connecting People & Plants

I love people. And I love plants. And people and plants are kind of in this Earth-thing together. After years as a classroom teacher, writer, forester, and naturalist, I want to creatively help connect kids and adults to the magic of plants in their communities. That’s why I’m starting Tree Stories LLC. A few key ideas guide this work:

  • Plants are alive, intelligent, and complex. They’ve been on Earth for awhile. Let’s learn from them and with them.

  • Ecology and plant science can be fun, funny, and sometimes magical. It should never be dry and boring.

  • Developing better relationships to plants enriches our lives.

  • Story-telling and relationships are key to understanding plants (and ourselves). Please note these concepts are borrowed from Indigenous writers and leaders, and I try to use them respectfully as a non-Native.

Tree walks can be organized for organizational events, conferences, fundraising, professional development, festivals, or business promotions (aka I can walk 20 people tor your establishment as an endpoint).
